Seventeen07 Restaurant

Experience a taste journey of unforgettable flavours! The Erinvale Estate Hotel and Spa is delighted to unveil the opening of our new signature restaurant "Seventeen07". The restaurant is named to commemorate the historic date 1707, when the estate was liberated from the original governor's estate, Vergelegen, after the sanctimonious demise of Willem Adrian van der Stel. Seventeen07 will celebrate the rich cultural impact of the original Dutch settlers, who established their settlements in the southern tip of Africa to supply their ships on the Spice Route to the Orient. To honour this rich history, we are re-defining our flagship restaurant as a tribute to the spices that formed and influenced our local cuisine. The dining experience will include dishes from Africa and the East including Madagascar, Zanzibar, India and Malaysia. This mouth-watering cuisine will include Bobotie with Bitter Almond and Apricot Chutney (South Africa); Chicken Olives & Lemon Tagine (Morocco); Zanzibar Fish Palau (Zanzibar) and Aubergine in a Spicy Chilli Sauce (Indonesia) – to mention but a few. Seventeen07 will be open from Wednesday to Saturday from 19:00 to 22:00 for dinner.

Skelligs Pub

The Irish-styled Skelligs Pub is open daily for lunches and light dinners from 11:00 - 22:00. The pub offers a relaxed, informal setting in which to enjoy a pint of tapped Guinness or a hearty meal. The pub opens onto a deck adjacent to the pool, where guests can enjoy a refreshing cocktail on a balmy summer's evening. From the previous owner’s Irish roots a number of buildings are associated with historical places in Ireland. Skelligs is the anglicized form of Scellig and the English meaning is ‘Rock.’ In the early Christian period, the most notable settlement of all on the south-west coast of Ireland was Skellig Micheal, where a monastry of beehive huts clung to precarious ledges on the steep sided island.
